Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with The Armory Performing Arts Center and CHAC Gallery! The exhibit opening “Remembrance, Community and Celebration” and community fiesta is Sept. 16th from 1pm-5pm at The Armory Performing Arts Center~300 Strong St., Brighton.

The Armory Performing Arts Center is proud to partner with CHAC to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos! “Remembrance, Community and Celebration” features artists from the local community and CHAC Gallery.  Dia de Los Muertos is an ancient Mexican special celebration that honors loved ones who have passed on. As we place their favorite items on altars, cook their special foods, eat Pan de Muerto, and decorate calaveras we celebrate our loved ones who have passed on and are proud of the traditions they passed down to us.

CHAC is one of the original nonprofits in Colorado that helped nurture and establish Dia de Los Muertos in Denver. For over fifty years CHAC has celebrated Dia de Los Muertos and helped pave the way for the abundance of Dia de Los Muertos celebrations state-wide.

CHAC Gallery & Cultural Center was founded in 1978 by a group of visual and performing artists. The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts
